Gargoyle Ahead

Waiting for the light to change on Congress Parkway. Through the rain, looming up ahead atop the public library, can be seen a huge menacing gargoyle. Are any of us safe?

A trip downtown on the Lake Street elevated provides an architectural tour including buildings left over from the nineteenth century as well as stuff hot off the drawing board.

Testing 1: Flickr

It's been a while since I played around with Blogger. To test things out, I'm blogging a video that I uploaded to Flickr. I shot it last week from the elevated platform at Adams and Wabash while I was headed to Taste of Chicago.

Update (July 14): Discovered last evening that Flickr videos can't be viewed on iTouch (or presumably, iPhone). Here's the same video on You Tube:
